Cuvée Galinette
A nice refreshing Saison for the summer, with a twist
A nice refreshing Saison for the summer, with a twist
After the previous Saison, I wanted to have a bit of fun and add some American hops. This beer turned out very nice and the stock was emptied quickly :)
It was brewed on the national holiday, with the co-organizers of a farmer’s market called “Galinette", explaining the beer’s name.

Brew went fine, even though the ebullition was a bit too strong and 2 liters were evaporated (and I lost two because of the trub). Efficiency was not great.
The BE-134 is a beast and I had to install a blow off tube to avoid beer getting out of the fermenter. After two weeks, fermentation was finished with a nice FG of 1.001 !
I could bottle 18l (so 54 bottles) and created a nice label with the mascot of the farmer’s market. Primed with table sugar for 3.4 vols of CO2 and put it to rest for three weeks.
And here is the result, a bit hazy thanks to the flakes. Very dry beer, with a lot of bubbles, extra refreshing for the summer.
